Over the years, I've designed dozens of publications and editorial pieces for organisations working at the intersection of engineering, water and sanitation, sustainability, resilience, and international development. These aren't easy topics to communicate — dense research, technical detail, and high stakes — and that's exactly where I like to work. I take projects end to end: from structuring how the content flows, through layout and design, to a publication that's ready to print or share. Below are highlights from some of the reports I'm proudest of.
The first issue in the series focuses on implementation and showcases best-practice case studies and solutions from across the globe. The second issue of our Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report focuses on nature and nature-based solutions. The last image showcases an animated digital cover.
Reclaiming Play in Cities was developed by Arup and the LEGO Foundation for the Real Play Coalition, and reviews the evidence around learning through play and the impact that urban environments have on children’s access to play and ultimately, their overall development.
The Resilience Strategy document is the City's strategic plan, focused on creating a vision for the year 2050 as well as creating guidelines, which are set to be agreed upon collectively as a society. It is a complex, over 100-page strategy document, which is a result of a years-long journey and collaboration between many city stakeholders. The design was built upon an established city's brand guidelines.
REDI provides Engineering design services for buildings that allows for designs that are resistant to seismic activity. REDi is a set of prescriptive guidelines for owners, engineers, and architects to implement resilience-based design to achieve beyond-code resilience objectives. I've design 3 reports to date, REDi earthquakes, floods and windstorms.
